Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down stairs in a single move. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about twelve cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from becoming clogged with dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution to your cleaning needs. Its mopping capabilities are also very good with a pair of spinning mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run along baseboards.
